WSH PERFORMANCE (EXCELLENCE) AWARD 2022

19 Aug 2022

PCS is honoured to receive the Workplace Safety and Health Performance (Excellence) Award 2022 on Wednesday, 27 July 2022.

Winning an award is due recognition and it shows that what the Company has been doing is on the right track to secure the health and safety of its workforce in achieving zero injury.

PCS Management takes ownership in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) working together with its partners, the Contractors Management, supported by the Petrochemical Complex Contractors Association (PCCA ) in promoting WSH programmes.

PCS has three core WSH programmes that inculcate inter-dependability and ownership across all levels of employees and contractors. Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) observation is a peer-to-peer programme to identify safe and at-risk behaviours for safer solutions without blame. STop And Report (STAR) empowers everyone, in any level, to intervene and stop any unsafe act or condition. Speak Out for Safety (SOS) encourages everybody to talk Freely, Fearlessly and in a Friendly manner on WSH. All these are supported by Near Miss Reporting and Suggestion Scheme, a holistic approach to Vision Zero safety culture.

Being a bizSAFE Mentor, PCS advocates management to take ownership in WSH by providing a healthy and safe working environment for the entire workforce.  This is the first of the three strategies of WSH 2028 to be emphasised that ownership should not be limited to the occupier / contractor, it should also include the project owner / developer.
